These Girls are UNSTOPPABLE! | Morris Bernards Moms

“So we did what any determined group of girls would do, we started a second group and named ourselves “Unstoppable Girls”.”

What are your names and ages?

Our group is made up of eleven 12 year old girls (7th graders):

Anna Tyler
Annika Miocevich
Ally Smith
Erin Miller
Izzy Cammarata
Katelyn Liloia
July Goldstein
Maya Posner
Seneca Strubel
Shayna Ingber
Vanessa Veleber

Are you all friends outside of this project?
Yes, we are all good friends

Why do you want to renovate the community club?
We have been meeting at the Community Center with our Girl Scout Troop since 2012. We love it there because we have many memories of fun activities like cooking in the kitchen, yoga class, art projects, learning about the environment and stereotypes, creating a play that we performed for Holly Manor residents. We realized one day that the inside looked tired and we thought it would be cool to freshen it up. It’s like our home away from home.

Anyone special you would like to thank for helping you get this project started?
We would like to thank Mrs Liloia and Mrs Strubel for guiding us through the process. And of course all of our Unstoppable Moms for helping us bake and for getting us where we need to be.

How has the community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The Community Center is like our 2nd home. After our meetings we like to run and dance around the space and have fun together.

Favorite things to do when you aren’t saving the community?
Our interests when we aren’t helping our community include: hanging out with our friends, making soap, dancing, soccer, hockey, basketball, art, singing and performing in the middle school play, playing guitar, piano, violin, camping and cooking.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

Some things that might surprise you about us:

Shayna: I live on a farm with alpacas!
Katelyn: I LOVE writing mystery stories.
Seneca: I LOVE to knit and I enjoy fashion.
